Our P&C Association prides itself on our continued work and involvement for our small country school. We are a very strong community with a large group of volunteers who work together to raise funds that contribute towards our children’s learning environment. Not only does our P&C and its volunteers raise funds, we also volunteer in the classrooms, around the school, and with our tuckshop.
Our major fund contribution comes from volunteers working at the Gympie Country Music Muster, coordinating the Crow Bar. We supplement our fundraising with raffles, cake stalls, Mother’s Day stalls, pie drives, sausage sizzles on sports days, at our discos and through operating our school tuckshop and uniform shop.
It is with great pride that our school P&C regularly contributes over $10,000.00 annually to the school. The P&C has contributed to air conditioning all classrooms, student swimming lessons, classroom technology, new playgrounds, computers, buses for excursions and camps, books for our library, gift certificates for our graduating students and school camps. All proceeds from our P&C fund raising goes back into the school and our students.
All parents and extended family are welcome to attend our P&C meetings which are held on the third Tuesday of each month. It is with open arms that these meetings are held and children are also welcome to come with their parents. We encourage and extend our warm community feeling to everyone and ask for your input and ideas on how we can improve or add to the way in which our P&C contributes to the school. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held at the beginning of the school year and all parents and citizens are invited to attend.
Our Executive members are more than happy to answer any questions that you may have as we welcome you to our lovely extended family. Our P&C cannot function without the support and dedication of our wonderful executive committee and their families.
